Young Historians Program

Roll up your sleeves and dive into the late 19th century with family friendly hands-on workshops at the 1890 House Museum.









Making Music

June 11th, 2-4 PM

Listen to some popular songs from the Victorian era through the 1920’s. What type of songs were popular? What kinds of instruments did children learn to play? WE’ll take a look at the house collection’s banjos, pianos, and old Victrola player. We will also learn old fashioned dance moves such as the waltz, polka, one-step and foxtrot.

$5 Per Child                     Tickets

All ages welcome though geared to 1st grade and up.
